This site is exactly what it sounds like — notes from my yard, my life, and the slower path I’m trying to walk.

I’m a parent, a gardener, a tinkerer, and someone who feels most at peace with dirt on my hands and time not rushing past me. I don’t live on acres of land (yet). I don’t have everything figured out. What I do have is a small yard, a growing family, and a strong pull toward a simpler, more intentional way of living.

For me, That looks like:

  • growing food where I can
  • cooking from scratch more often than not
  • fixing things instead of replacing them
  • spending time outside instead of scrolling endlessly
  • raising my kids to appreciate effort, patience, and the natural world

This isn’t a how-to homesteading blog. It’s not hustle culture. It’s not about perfection or aesthetics.

It’s about learning to do more for yourself.

About capability instead of dependency.

About enjoying quiet moments, good food, and honest work.

Some posts here will be reflective. Some practical. Some might just be thoughts written at the end of the day. All of them come from the same place: a desire to live a little slower, a little closer to nature, and a little more on purpose.

If you’re here for that, you’re in the right place.
